Hak Ja Han Moon
Known to millions around the world as Mother Moon, she has dedicated more than 50 years of her life to the realization of peace. As the only female religious leader operating on such a global level, her powerful message has inspired millions to transcend national, racial, and cultural boundaries.
Born in 1943 in Japanese-occupied North Korea, she began life as an innocent village girl, nourishing her connection to God and communing with the simple beauty of nature around her. However, the ravages of the Korean War forced her, her mother and her grandmother to flee south. Their journey was shocking and harrowing. With unwavering faith, they pressed on.
In Mother of Peace she describes in rich detail the mystical series of events that led to her marriage at age 17 to the charismatic Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon.
